Meet Dr. Ryan Tierney
I began my movement journey after graduating college and immersing myself in the practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Through yoga, I discovered the profound impact movement can have on the body, and began to see movement as medicine.
In 2018, I began my career as a physical therapist, specializing in neurologic and vestibular rehabilitation. Working closely with these populations has given me a deep understanding of how conditions such as dizziness, vertigo, neurologic dysfunction and imbalance can affect far more than physical function — they can impact confidence, independence and the ability to fully participate in everyday life.
Over the years, I have continued to hone my clinical expertise while developing an approach that sees each client as a whole person, rather than a collection of symptoms or impairments.. My care may incorporates a variety of tools and strategies, including neuromuscular re-education, mobility training, repositioning maneuvers, balance training, therapeutic exercise. vestibular adaptation and habituation, nervous system regulation, soft tissue work, lifestyle and diet recommendations.
At the heart of my approach is the relationship I build with each client. Care is collaborative and personalized, with your goals guiding the process. My goal is to help you build a greater sense of stability, confidence, and independence that extends beyond the clinic and into your everyday life.
I look forward to hearing your story and working with you toward your goals.
